Discussion around novels in the Civil Code of Russian Federation

Abstract

On May 23, 2015 at Law Faculty of National Research University Higher School of Economics held place a discussion of changes in the Civil Code, in force since June 1. The participants of discussion included professors and lecturers of Department of Civil and Entrepreneural Law E.P. Gavrilov, A.A. Ivanov, M.V.Krrotov, K.A. Novikov, lecturers of other departments and students of the Faculty. The main subject of the debates appeared to be the newly-born legal norms regulating obligations — its principles, fulfilling, ceasing, responsibilities of sides. The public tried not only to comment changes in the Code from doctrinal positions, but also to evaluate it in the historical context, to identify its logic and sense.
