•    To assist the reform of legal education and the development of educational process, including the elaboration of new educational courses;
•    To strengthen the interaction among the HSE research and educational departments;
•    To participate in broadening the cooperation among Russian and foreign legal researchers and teachers;
•    To get young researchers and teachers involved in the scientific life and professional community;
•    To organize roundtables, conferences, seminars and other events.
